What is love? Love is YOU <3
To describe it, I have words but few.
Today’s story is about a sweet Garhwali couple, who had known each other for quite some time, but had no inkling that they would be spending rest of their life together. I have a personal belief that people from dramatics background, are larger than life people. Well, this couple is a larger than life couple as they both belong to the dramatics background. Anish and Bandana met at the National School of Drama (NSD), Delhi, when Bandana was a first year student and Anish was working there as an artist . Bandana was always running around the campus, while saying a random ‘Hi’ to the sweet guy Anish, totally unaware that they were destined to be together. They were both from Pauri Garhwal, so whenever they met, they would converse in Garhwali. But initially, Bandana did not see a probable life partner in Anish. He was just a friend and there was nothing romantic about their conversations. Here comes the twist in the tale. In her final year at NSD, Bandana was very ill and was sent home for about 10 days. When she got back, Anish was a little worried as he hadn’t seen her for quite some time. Seeing her again was a huge relief. Soon after, he asked her to accompany him to the Youth Music Festival, being held at Connaught Place. Bandana agreed to go, but not out of any feelings for Anish. They attended the festival and decided to walk back to their hostel. Bandana knew about a shorter route back, which turned out to be a longer one (giving them more time to get acquainted). They sat down at the back gate of NSD and talked till 1 in the night (there is always so much to say :p ) After spending such quality time and having a heart to heart conversation with each other, the next morning, Bandana started missing Anish. She longed to meet him and talk to him again. She felt a little relieved when she called him. It is quite obvious to come to the conjecture that Cupid had struck this couple.
To realize you are the ‘one’, it took me long,
But soon after, my life became a love song.
Bandana used the poor NSD landline for her hour-long, not so romantic chats (at least not romantic yet) with Anish. They had the opportunity to spend more time together, when Anish’s cousin invited Bandana to her place for a night out. She spent some quality time with Anish and had fun with his cousins on that night out. After a few days, Anish’s cousin came to Bandana’s hostel for a night out and while talking, she pointed out that Bandana was in love with Anish. This seemed quite obvious to everyone around them, but Bandana hadn’t realized it until now. She was skeptical about getting into a relationship, But Anish’s guy-next-door-charms lured her. The next morning she was banging frantically at his door, and poor Anish was shell-shocked 😉 But at the same time he was very pleased to see her. After 3 days, Bandana had to leave for Kolkata for about 15 days; so she utilized those 3 days and stayed with Anish and his cousins. The day Bandana had to leave for Kolkata, she came to know that her train was delayed by 7 hours and that gave her more time to spend with Anish. She headed over to his place and Anish was very happy to see her. They were alone and this seemed the perfect moment for them to confess their feelings towards each other. Bandana told him that she had feelings for him and she didn’t expect him to have the same feelings. The feeling was mutual on both side. Yet, Anish gave a mysterious smile and didn’t say anything. He dropped her back to her hostel and when Bandana called him and asked about his silence on the matter, he said he will give the answer in 2013 (It was already December 2012). This made Bandana furious, but they kept talking. Anish used to write poetry, and by what I have read so far, a very talented poet, too. He sent Bandana two lines of a poem and asked her to add another two lines to it. The lines go like this-
