“We are finally together by God’s grace,
Every day seems brighter, when I see your face.”
Marriage is a union of two beautiful souls, who have decided to undertake the journey of life together. Today’s story is about another arranged marriage couple who have found the perfect life partner in each other. Rohit and Richa’s story is a fascinating tale of love that is awe-inspiring. People hesitate from the idea of arranged marriages these days, but this couple’s tale serves as a wonderful reminder that matches are made in heaven, whether they are arranged or not. Richa was working in Patiala when she got a marriage proposal from Delhi. Her family was located in Faridabad. She wasn’t interested in marriage at that time. She just wanted to focus on her career. But she couldn’t keep ignoring these proposals for long, so she decided to meet the guy. It was 10th August, 2013 when Rohit and Richa had their first meeting in Select Citywalk, Delhi. Richa seemed to be more excited about visiting the mall than meeting the prospective bridegroom. Both their families met; Rohit couldn’t take his eyes off Richa and kept on stealing glances, while Richa was least bothered. She hoped this meeting to end quickly so that she could start her shopping expedition. The couple spent some time alone, talking to each other.
“Your eyes speak volumes about the way you feel,
Your gaze intoxicates me and my heart goes still.”
In the evening, when Richa was asked about her decision, she agreed to the match. (that conversation with Rohit worked its magic) But then every girl fears rejection and Richa was gripped with this same fear. She was worried about Rohit’s response. But, she wasn’t aware that she had already won Rohit’s heart. Both the families were very happy with this match and soon a date was settled on for the marriage. But, before their marriage, Richa and Rohit had numerous occasions to know each other, better. Soon after they met at Humayun’s tomb and discussed a lot of things. Engrossed in conversation, they made almost 20-30 rounds of the tomb. They didn’t realize that they had walked on for so long. Later, they went to Nizamuddin for blessings. Each meeting revealed something new and exciting about them. They started meeting quite frequently and spending some quality time together.
“A beautiful heart and a beautiful mind,
is not something very easily we find.”
They agreed on a few things to make their lives easier and better. They decided never to switch off their phone or ignore each other, when either of them are angry. Moreover, they believed in spending quality time together so they decided that they won’t go out for movies as it just meant sitting in a dark theatre, full of strangers, and minmum interaction between them. (They stuck to the first rule, but couldn’t stay away from movies, at least when they went out with family and friends) There were times when they were unable to meet due to work, but they found it hard to live through the week, without seeing each other; So, they wrapped up work and headed to see each other, only to return the same day. It was a hectic routine, yet love powered them and they left no stone unturned when it came to spending quality time together. They tied the knot on 22nd February, 2014. The bride and groom looked enchanting. The wedding ceremony was fun-filled. Richa’s ‘dewarji’ Gaurav was in a jolly and flirtatious mood and broke many hearts with his killer dance moves. :p Here, are some brilliant shots from their traditional and beautiful wedding-
Richa believes she has found a lifelong friend in Rohit, whose immense love and care put a smile on her face. Richa feels very comfortable in Rohit’s presence and he is a person who respects her and gives her enough space and time. They are happily married and are blessed with a cute little bundle of joy- Shivansh; whose arrival has strengthened the bond of love between them. I wish this couple all the very best and lots of love to cutie-pie Shivansh (pics enclosed) <3 <3
