Arranged marriages are a beautiful collaboration of two completely different and unknown people, uniting for a lifetime. All marriages, in some or the other way, are arranged; regardless of whether they are arranged by some match-maker, our parents, or by God and his magic! You are matched up with exactly the one you are destined to be with, only to fall in love, deeper, gradually and progressively. This story of Aamir and Samayna, very well justifies the conspiracy of love and destiny.
Who knew travelling to Kanpur will give their journey a new purpose, and will lead them to each other. Samayna’s family was in Kanpur to finalize a match for her, but destiny had written something else for these two. They settled for Aamir, who happened to be the cousin of the guy, who was supposed to be Samayna’s match. As both of their families were in Dubai, things got quicker and easier. They met and instantly liked each other, “and the rest is history!”, as Samayna puts it. She further adds, “I don’t particularly remember what he said that got our attention. However, I remember my father never asking the amount of salary he earned. The only question he asked Aamir was if he was able to take care of a family financially and Aamir said yes. That’s all dad wanted to know. The funny thing is that my parents liked him so much that they agreed even before seeing his establishment.”
There was a huge disagreement between the two families, regarding the venue for the wedding. Samayna’s in-laws wanted it in Dubai, whereas, her family wanted it in Bhopal. After a lot of meetings and persuasion from her parents, they finally agreed to get married in India. And they enjoyed themselves a lot! “Everything was very well managed by Aamir and his relatives, and from our end too, to the best of everyone’s abilities. Gladly, our marriage was well appreciated by his family and guests, as this was the first time anyone traveled outside UP. They enjoyed Bhopal a great deal!” , quotes Samayna.
The two united in holy matrimony, in October 2013, at Hotel Lake View Ashok, Bhopal. The place is a lush green, lake facing garden. The vibrant decorations at the venue added more beauty to it, and made their wedding all the more grand. The food was extremely mouth-watering, and was catered by Lucknowi Caterers; one of the most promising and outstanding caterers of Bhopal. The couple hosted a lavish wedding reception, at the opulent Radisson Blu Hotel, Noida.
Royal Art Photographers did an excellent job by capturing splendid snapshots of the wedding ceremonies.
Samayna looked as beautiful as the first ray of the sun falling on a dewy flower (absolutely breathtaking! 😉 ). She was groomed by Nikky Bawa, a very renowned make-up artist from Bhopal.
Our couple didn’t have a honeymoon, they had 3! Their first one, was a trip to a desert resort in Abu Dhabi on Aamir’s birthday which was 3 months from their wedding. Samayna reminisces, “Obviously, it was all planned by me as a surprise for him, and he was so elated. We started our journey on Friday after praying in the Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Then we drove for around 3 hours to reach the place. For our first trip to Abu Dhabi, I asked the hotel to decorate the room with flowers and balloons to make it romantic. Aamir was so pleasantly surprised when he saw this. He had a gala time bursting the balloons later! A kid almost vomited on me during the dune bashing. We lost Aamir’s iPhone in the desert. Fell off a cycle and bruised my elbow. Those 2 days were so eventful, it brought me to tears! But on our way back we laughed our hearts out, and realized that we had made many fond memories. BTW, we found his mobile.” :p
Their second trip was to Muscat, Oman. A beautiful place, and the third one was to Kerala. “We were there for a week in October. Traveled to Cochin, Alleppey, Munnar and Ooty. It’s a magical place. Munnar was like a dream. There were 2 memorable moments. First, Sirodhara Ayurvedic massage. We went in like zombies, totally exhausted from all the running around from so many days and we came out like blossomed flowers! It was that good. The other was from the National Reserve Park in Munnar, where they took us to a height where we could touch the clouds! Literally. It was surreal!”
The couple has completed 2.5 years of their marriage successfully, and are enjoying every bit of the marital bliss. When Samayna talks about her marriage, she says, “Only in fairy tales do you believe in prince charmings and happy endings. Strangely enough I had my reservations till the day of my marriage, which girl doesn’t. Now, after 2.5 years of being married do I realize, that it is not important to have a perfect partner than to strive everyday to make the marriage as perfect as possible.” ,
The couple is blessed with an adorable daughter named Inara, and their future is completely centered around her. The couple says, “We want to give her the best education, a good upbringing, teach her to be a good Muslim, take her around the world if we are given a chance. We also want to give back to our parents as much as we can. Be there for them, be their support as they grow old. Make a house back in India and settle in when we get old, with 2 dogs! A German Shepherd and a Golden Retriever. (Dogs are my wish, haven’t told him yet 😀 ) .”
We wish this couple a very happy married life ahead, and all the treasures of health and wealth for their daughter! :*
